I am looking for a new sub-meter handheld GPS unit - does anyone have recommendations for a dependable model/manufacturer?
I had a 2003 Trimble GeoXT that would often provide 1.5' to 2' accuracy (95%), but it just went bad (circuit board failed), so I am not thrilled with Trimble, and other manufacturers seem to have better deals for similar spec models and with lower cost software. Suggestions?

Magellan Mobile Mapper CX is a sweet item. It runs Windows CE. It's sub-meter also. Check it out.

Usually I find if you don't get on with Trimble it's time to buy Leica and viceversa! http://www.leica-geosystems.com/corporate/en/ndef/lgs_4502.htm
